Text Repeater
Repeat any text, word or emoji up to 10,000 times online, separated by new lines, spaces, commas or a custom separator, with optional numbering.
How to repeat text
- Type the text to repeat in the input box: a word, a sentence, several lines or an emoji.
- Enter the Number of repetitions (1–10,000).
- Choose a Separator: New line, Space, None, Comma and space, or Custom… to type your own.
- Tick Number each copy (1. 2. 3.) if every copy should start with its number.
- The result appears as you type. Repeat text refreshes it. Use Copy to paste it elsewhere, or Download to save it as a
.txtfile, which is easier for very long results.
Separators
The separator is inserted between two copies, never after the last one, so the result doesn’t end with a stray comma or blank line.
- New line puts each copy on its own line, the most common choice for lists, test data and spreadsheets.
- Space and None build a single long line: “ha ha ha” or “hahaha”.
- Comma and space gives a ready-to-use list: “item, item, item”.
- Custom… accepts any text, such as
|,/or;. Type\nfor a line break and\tfor a tab:\n---\nputs a dashed line between copies. To get a literal backslash, type\\.
When the text itself spans several lines, each copy keeps its line breaks, and the separator comes after the whole block.
Numbering
With Number each copy (1. 2. 3.), each copy is prefixed with its position: 1. text, 2. text… This is useful for creating numbered placeholders, practice sheets or test cases. If you need other number formats, such as 001 or [1], repeat the text with New line and use a line-numbering tool on the result.
Limits
You can repeat a text up to 10,000 times. The result is also limited to 1,000,000 characters so that your browser stays responsive: a text area holding many megabytes of text becomes slow to scroll, select and copy. If a combination would go over that limit, the tool shows how long the result would have been and asks you to lower the count or shorten the text. As a guide, a 90-character sentence can be repeated 10,000 times with line breaks, and a 1,000-character paragraph just under 1,000 times.
The character count under the result counts code units, the same way most programming languages measure string length. Emoji usually count as two.
What people use it for
- Filling a form field, a database column or a layout with placeholder text of a known length.
- Testing how an app handles long input, many lines or large pastes.
- Creating repeated rows to paste into a spreadsheet.
- Writing lines for practice or making a playful message with repeated emoji.
Please don’t use repeated text to spam chats or comment sections: most platforms detect it and may block your account.
Frequently asked questions
What is the maximum number of repetitions?
10,000 copies, as long as the whole result stays under 1,000,000 characters. Longer texts can be repeated fewer times.
Can I repeat several lines at once?
Yes. Paste a block of several lines: the whole block is repeated as a unit, with the chosen separator between blocks.
How do I put a blank line between copies?
Choose Custom… and type \n\n as the separator: each copy is followed by an empty line.
Why is the character count higher than expected with emoji?
Most emoji are stored as two code units (a surrogate pair), and some combine several code points, so each one adds two or more to the count.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. The text is repeated in your browser and never leaves your device.
